Gender Discrimination in the Workplace
In many places women are still discriminated at the workplace. On the website http://smallbusiness.chron.com/effects-gender-discrimination-workplace-2860.html it says according to TNS Research Surveys, 68 percent of women surveyed believe gender discrimination exists in the workplace. Although they may just be beliefs, a gender gap is still obviously seen in some work setting. An exxageration on this can be seen at http://psychcentral.com/news/2009/10/09/gender-discrimination-in-the-workplace/8868.html. A big topic that highlights gender discrimination is the fact that men get paid more than women, even if they work the same job and have the same background experience. The website http://www.iwpr.org/initiatives/pay-equity-and-discrimination explains the difference in pay between men and women. Is it truly fair that in 2012 gender is an issue in the workforce?
